Civil Rights Attorney

Taylor an American Human Rights and Civil Rights activist, has litigated very high profile police brutality, government misconduct, and death penalty cases in Chicago and elsewhere. He speaks about the current police brutality of the Laquan McDonald trial where Jason Van Dyke was found guilty just recently last weekend. He also speaks about his current book that was just released titled, The Torture Machine: Racism and Police Violence in Chicago, that is to come out early 2019.

Dr. Odie Payne

Son of Blues Hall of Fame Inductee Odie Payne

Dr. Payne speaks about his father Odie Payne the drummer for Muddy Water and how he is going to be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. Dr. Odie Payne is a drummer himself who learned from his father at a very young age. The great Odie Payne, taught all of his children at a very young age to play the drums. Dr. Payne is currently a family medicine doctor practicing in Chicago for over 20 years. Sunday October 13th is the day that his father will be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.

Andrew Calhoun

Folk Artist

Calhoun plays a couple of his favorite tunes for us in the studio. Andrew Calhoun has been performing folk music for over 40 years. Anywhere from performing his own material to performing Irish and American Folk songs, Anglo-Scottish Ballads, folk spirituals, and poems. He just recently put a record with him and his daughter Casey on his label Waterbug Records. He has also has been release from Hogeye Records.
